Teaching in China
Due to the language barriers in China, teaching English placement is our most recommended project in China. Volunteers and interns do not need to speak Mandarin in order to teach English in China. Also, at teaching English placements, the local staff and students can usually speak basic English, which makes daily communications much easier.
It is possible to teach both children and adults. Typical duties include preparing for lectures, give presentations, give lectures, mark exams, etc. It is a good opportunity for these who want to develop their presentation skills, cross-cultural communication skills, and training skills. Some work places may require the participants to have decent English before they let you teach. The teaching placement can be arranged at villages or towns near Beijing and Shanghai surrounding areas.
If you don’t know what to do, this may be a good choice since it does not require special trainings or Mandarin skills.
